Sight of the day...maybe year

We're down at the boat getting ready for our trip tommorrow morning. A couple of young kids come flying by in a 16' wooden skiff w/ dog in tow. Clearly flying thru our No wake zone. I hollar out at them to slow down....they just wave and keep rolling.

Fast forward to 30 minutes later, I look out and see them paddling back. I do a double take and notice that they have no motor!! My dinghy is sitting beside the boat and it would have been easy to give 'em a tow, but screw em. They weren't in danger and learned a lesson. The picture of the kid sitting at the stern of the boat with his head in his hands was priceless!

I think it's a holdover from our own childhood when we took risks and broke small laws , getting heck for Parents and authorities to boot, now that we are the adults we can get "revenge" by yelling at them and feeling good when they screw up...very natural reaction my males...

Mike, we're headed to Tidewater Marina for the weekend for OpSail with all the other crazies!
