I just wanted to put this out there to all of my fellow HOFers. I am the Administrative Officer of the Shrewsbury Power Squadron her in central New Jersey. Next Wednesday, May 12th, we have our general membership meeting at the Atlantic Highlands Yacht Club.
As a guest speaker, I am having an old friend of mine speak, Adam LaRosa of the Canyon Runner Sportfishing group. They are a charter boat operator out of Point Pleasant, NJ and have in their fleet a 32' Regulator, a 48' Viking and a 60' Ritchie Howell. They have been very successful in the charter industry and are very well know up and down the East Coast. They are sponsored by Northstar electronics among others and just had a Seakeeper gyrostabilizer installed by Mack Boring of Union, NJ at no cost to them to be used as a "demonstrator".
In addition, the Canyon Runner team is responsible for hosting a number of Fishing Seminars in the Northeast on how and where to successfully find fish.
Adam has been the author of a number of publications in boating magazines and sportfishing magazines. Wednesday's topic will be mainly on the custom build of their 2008 Ritchie Howell Sportfishing Yacht. The boat is cold molded, built in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
You can read more information on them online at www.canyonrunner.com.
If anyone would like to attend, please let me know. The meeting would start at 8:00 PM, with the speaker starting at approximately 8:30pm. There is also a bar at the club for anyone that is feeling parched.
