Shelter In Place

Anyone familiar with CA, NY, or ILL shelter in place details specifically related to boats?

Can you choose to shelter in place on your boat instead of home?

Can you get underway and go somewhere less affected or are there travel restrictions?

I think Florida will be doing something similar in the next few days. The little boy in me has always thought of mt boat as a security blanket that protects me from things I can't control (or things I didn't control that got out of control). I guess I don't want to lose that feeling even if it isn't true.

In ILwe are requested to stay indoors starting today and only go out if we need food and emergency items, can go out doors for walks, must keep a distance from others. Our marinas are still closed from the winter boats don't get put in from drydock till April 15 or May 15 when marinas open up. I did read on waterway guide that Waukegan marine which is on lake Mich is currently open for fuel, they started there hoping to start putting boats in the water in April as normal. Businees are asked to have employees work remote if possible. And keep all repair shops business as normal as cars need to be fixed, HVAC can keep business and homes working, Rich
