Well... it's a long story and I will post that up at some point, but I'm trying to source a new Northern Lights 20 kW generator with 12V control voltage.

Seems COVID has put a clamp on the marine generator supply chain as well.

The Model Number would be M844LW-3.

Anyone know anyone?

Have a look in Boats & Harbors.... you might find one there. Good chance.

I think I bought the last 20KW Northern Lights GenSet in the Southeast. NL had to convert from 12v to 24volt for me. Give Dan Schutte 1 (954) 421-1717 at Northern Lights a call. He is in Deerfield Beach, FL and should be able to point you in the right direction.

Check with Dieseltech in freeport, ny they are northern lights dealers and may have one. 516 867 3246

Thanks guys, I'll try both of them. My understanding is that the supply chain is severely crunched and any incoming generators have been ordered weeks or months ago and there are not enough of them left over for stocking dealers to stock them.

JD, you might be able to find a takeout NL set in B&H. You could have a NL dealer go through it and while you wouldn't have a zero-time set, they are so long-lived that you would have something very good indeed. Good luck on all this.

Thanks Jim!... I try them as well.

Called Don this morning and had to leave a voice message. He called me right back and said that he will be turning me over to his associate that is responsible for my geographical region. Right now it seems 20 kW and 16 kW generators are about 10 weeks out. Maybe less but he wasn't willing to commit to that. HE stated they had a container arrive at the docks in Seattle last week, but can't get the container moved out of the yard due to lack of truck drivers in the region.

Will keep everyone posted....
