secondary fuel filter

Does anyone know of a source that I can get a spin on secondary fuel filter plus the brackets for DD 8v92's. This is to replace the old canister type that is on the engines.

I bought mine at the DD shop for $20 brand new in the box. The parts guy gave me 2 filters since I bought two of the mounts. Keep your GM boat all GM ! ws

Did you get the adaptor plate or a new filter housing? There was somebody offering an simple adaptor plate that mounted on the cannister hat and converted it to a DD spin on.

That was a new spin on housing. I looked all over for used stuff and decided to bite the bullet. $20 was a give away !! If anyone wants the originals they can have them. If not, they will be rigged for a polishing unit. ws

I just bought these same parts, but I've not yet gotten them installed. I paid $7.32 for the spin on filter from Detroit Diesel in Miami.

Yeah the housing isn't expensive if I remember right the adaptor was more but it saved you the trouble of mounting piping etc. I have to convert mine if I can find them I'll post it.

Bill, FWIW, sure hope that is black-iron, and not galvanized pipe that is in the photo of your fuel system.

Ah... what a kean eye you have. Yes it is and I do know better! I had to pick that up in IUKA, Miss. last year as that was all they had. I figured it would be OK as it is just the leg that runs the Hobbs switch. It will probably get changed as we are going to begin the overhaul of the FRONT motor mounts next.
