Sea cock maintenance

I just hauled my 37C As she sits on the hard awaiting indoor storage the sea cocks that i just leave open during the winter I am going to leave them closed and fill all the stainers up with marvel mystery oil and let it sit till spring . Does anyone think this might be a good thing to do to help maintain the sea cocks or am I just waisting my $$$ on the oil.

sounds good to me, but I wouldn't fill the strainers up, just a little on top of the ball. I don't see where it would do any damage and miracle oil works miracles.

And when they're in service try and exercise them at least monthly. This a good tool that helps quite a bit. Thx.
