I have clean salt water accumulating in front of my port engine on a 79 46 sport fish. there is a drain tube the runs from forward back to the engine room. the strainers for the heads are all the forward and they are dry. the only thing I can think of is that the water supply hose for the port head is leaking somewhere between the pump and the head. I drained it last week and there was only a tiny bit of water left when I was done. this week when I got there, the level did not change. I checked last night and the water had risen. I did not use the a/c this weekend, but I did flush the head multiple times. Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks.

If it helps:

My basic checklist is:
gathering water at the dock or underway? confirm salt-as you post.
close all thru hulls and isolate as you open them up.
once the offending source is found, look for a break in that system.
I once had a corroded male pipe on a RW intake with a hose and clamp that was fine.
Leaked in that same spot, but only with that main running, obviously.

soap or newspaper can help. watch the engine even at the dock.

good luck

Any bilge pump hoses running nearby. When they spring a leak the water ends up in strange places. Picture a stream of water squirting every time the bilge pump cycles.
