Has anyone had a problem matching the original tint in their salon windows? I'm looking to replace just 1 window that has a crack in it.

OEM glass was just Solex tint laminated glass. It has just a little green in it if it's original. Any glass shop should have it or be able to order it. I just replaced a few of mine last year.

Sky, what you described sounds like the glass I have around the lower helm, it has a slight green tint. Our glass on the sides of the salon, however, is much darker, but it does not appear to be a tinted film that was added later. I guess I need to just get a glass guy out there to look at it.

My Experience matches SKYCHENEY..
I just bring the cracked piece of glass to a local glass shop, he traces it out on paper, and while he orders and cuts and smooths, I put the original back in to keep rain out...he recognizes the tint and duplicates it with no trouble..

If you know you're going to replace it, maybe the best thing to do is to take a winndow out and take that to a good glass shop, so you can compare tints in a good lighting environment where they have many samples to compare.

Before you do, check to make sure there is no inside tint film by trying to cut the inside surface of the glass with a razor blade. Some of those films are very good and strong, but a new razor blade will cut them, but not cut glass.
