  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
67' COCKPIT MY (1987 - 1995)
Sitting in my salon thinking about updating it. Which raises a couple of questions. 1) what are the walls made of?2) are the walls able to be removed? If yes, how?3). Is the headliner able to be dropped and then re-attached to get access to ceiling? I wanna add some more and different lights4) how easy or hard is it to re-install ceiling headliner5) anybody replaced headliner with wood panels or other items? P

Outer walls are plywood over 2x4 studs. Interior walls are just 3/4 plywood. Headliner can be removed but you'll have to install new. I reinstalled original type of vinyl perforated headliner. Its not easy but you'll get the hang of it as you go.

Are the saloon outer walls glued to the studs? I don’t see any nail holes

hatteras used very small staples then filled the holes with wood putty. if you look closely yo will find them.
