I have two Cruisar WFAH 16 heat pumps on my boat (1981 43' Hatteras DC). The one servicing the salon keeps tripping the a/c breaker when I switch it from "Start" to "Run". Water pump kicks on when in "Start". There are 3 thermostat settings on the dial...neutral, heat, or cold. When in neutral (middle position), breaker does not trip. Only when switched to heating or cooling while in "Run". Thought it might be the Start capacitor so replaced it. No luck. Still doing it? Have also tested the breaker switch. It is fine. Does anyone have any thoughts on the problem? Could a bad relay be causing this to happen? Have attached a photo of my a/c electrical box. Is there a way to test the relay? I was reading a similar thread posted 1/4/2011 from Genevatexan (Kent Bracken). He seemed to be having a similar problem. If you are out there, what did you find with your unit? Also, in a 5/16/2012 thread Akintosyali posted a similar problem and wondering if he is out there and what he found out? Thanks.
