  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
45' CONVERTIBLE-Series I (1968 - 1975)
At the annual "boat party", I looked around and saw several 53s and a few 41s, and at least one 37. Did any of you "east-enders" make it ? I hung on the outside, as I noticed my port engine oil pressure slowly (but way quicker that would leave me comfortable) dropping. Mechanic is on it today. Location and weather did not make it easy ... but as always it was a ton of fun !

Hey Steve

With the weather the way it was decide to stay put little more run then years past.

If you saw a 37 probably was Nick!

I looked, it didn't look like him on the bridge. The location was a little rocky early in the day, but quieted down as the day went on.

Do none of you guys own a camera?

It wasn't me. I peaked around the north side of Shelter Is in the morning in our 18ft and decided it would be too windy for the little boat ride. No takers for a 37 ft Hat ride as the weather looked crappy. I spent the day tinkering.

Sorry I missed you Steve! Great hospitality by you and your vrew last year!

Catch you another time.

in an effort to potect the innocent .... no photos were taken !!

I know some will surface down the road ...and i will post

Oil scenario was an under pressure distribution tube that goes to the turbo. In that i was runing slowly, turbo never should have even kicked in, so there should be no turbo damage. Since the port went, I'm having both taken care of, as the stbd can't be far behind and as we ALL know, the other side would pick the damndest time to screw up if given the chance.

Just as an FYI ... Sean has decided that after TONS of hassle from the local officials and too many crazies trying to damage his party boat "jeepers" in attempts to get aboard ... he's shutting down the 18 yr long tradition. Sad ..

Every bar and restaurant in town was PACKED that night, but he got nothing but grief from Sag Village and the towns of SoHampton & EHampton. They even threatened to arrest him .... just not worth the hassle.

Here we go!! Our local government telling US what's best for US based on some political arses and load obnoxious minorty of folks who think we have to play by THEIR rules!!!!!!!!

It is A DAMN SHAME!!!!! That was a great time in the past!!!!

I've been having a small scale, similar problem on our dock this year. The dock has been and continues to be quite social, so there is a bit of chatter and low volume of tunes into the evening! Now there are a couple of folks who don't want the chatter and the music/socializing because they want their privacy and they expect us to all play in another sand box. What the H. We come out to social and enjoy ourselves; not hide in the boat and NAP!

Ok I feel better now!!

and Nick .... aside from some donations in $$ and time and contributions by a few businesses for the exposure, he put out TONS of his own cash to throw that party ... and you can imagine the time.
the business establishments in town should all throw him some money, as they reap huge benefits on the fuel, food, ice, drink, and everything else sales as a result of the party. Even with so-so weather there were probably 300 boats

Sometimes.. the locals are a funny lot. I have seen the residential people, cottagers, local business people, hotel owners etc... complain when a bass tournament comes to town and I never understand it. There will be 300-400 guys with 150-200 boats pull into town, get gas, food, entertainment; stay in hotels, campgrounds etc and buy lunches, tackle, launch fees etc. We practise live release and BassMaster level rules & edicate, put on a good show at weigh-ins and they complain about the dumbest things; like..don't fish my dock...lol.
The Pro Level Tourneys which I fish, takes 3-4 days of fishing to compete. 1-2 day prefish then 2 day tourney; that's a lot of money we bring into town. Anyway, it works out for everyone in the long run and sure is alot of fun but I want to change to yacht style...on a HATT45-48C (or 50,52,53...lol) in Lake Ontario, Canada.

Hey, we are going to be in Greenport at Townsend if any of you guys get a little tipsy and decide to run a small boat around the island to our side.

We'll be there Thurs to Sun.
