"Old School" departed at about 7:30AM last Friday for her new home in Hobe Sound, FL. Just as I suspected, she behaved flawlessly on the run up there -- in absolute horrid weather.
Anyway, I'd be remiss if I didn't say yet again what a fantastic broker Russ Schafer (Bollman Yachts, Ft. Lauderdale) was. This is a TOUGH market, make no mistake, and his approach was exactly the same. He wasn't the least bit shy about advertising the boat and putting beaucoup time in on working this listing. He never hesitated to put my interests first in terms of just getting me the best number he could without thinking what was best for his commission.
He managed to make "Old School" one of the top viewed boats on YachtWorld, and he just knows how to talk to prospects in a way that inspires confidence from the first phone call; in a market where leads are few and far between, that ability is key.
