Rudder post packing

Does anyone know the size of the packing for the rudder post on a 63 ' motoryacht 1987?

1/2 inch... I use duramax ultra... Great product

x2 on the 1/2 duramax, great product.

I did mine last year and could not believe the condition of the packing I removed. It was compressed to a consistency of black carbon and the PO's had just pushed new packing on to of old, over the years.

Ended up having to drop the rudders to clean the packing gland boxes and dress the surfaces throughly with emory paper.
