I have a friend in need of the name of the chemical and where to get it. The type you can poor into rotten wood. Not get rot. I could not find the thread that was here a few weeks ago on it.

call them up for an explanation or read their website before you use it. The wood cannot be wet.

BTW, I just finished using CPES & "FILL IT" for the first time. Stuff is great. Goes on like water, sets up hard. Then use FILL IT to fair it out, sand with 120 grit, apply another coat of CPES, wait a few hours then paint or varnish while still tacky and it will create a molecular bond with your finish coat. Amazing stuff. I'll never use Git-Rot again.

Thanks guys. The stuff has been ordered. I can't wait to see how it works for him.

I just used Minwax High Performance Wood Hardener, Worked very very good, Seems to close all gaps and hardens and then you can sand if disired. Read the back label. Penetrates deep into the wood and makes it solid again. Capt Ken
