Robertson RI 101 rudder angle indicator

Does anyone have experience with Robertson RI101 indicators? Does it only only function with the autopilot activated, or can it operate independently. My recently acquired boat has 2 rudder position sensors. The wiring is a mess and I am trying to sort it out. Would prefer to have the indicators without the autopilot. Perhaps a wiring diagram? Can't seem to find one online. The autopilot system is AP300x.

My Robertson only shows rudder angle when turned on. Leave it in C for compass and you also get rudder angle.
