Not Currently A Hatteras Owner
Very new here, to big boating and Hatteras. We are beginning our search for a 53MY. Looked thru some archives here about the DD engines and there is a lot about wet vs dry riser. Any chance someone could look at the attached image and determine if they are wet or dry (and advise what I should be looking at)? This is on a ‘78.Thanks, Jim

Dry, because of the thermo insolation around the turbos. Wet are cooled and don't require the insulation. Wait for confirmation from someone else.:)
 
The turbos are dry. You can see the raw water hose entering the exhaust after the turbo, wet.
 
Dry for sure. The blue hose after the turbo is your raw water out the exhaust.
