This seems pretty basic but i'm probably overlooking something so I figured I'd ask. I need to replace both sliding salon doors, frame and all. The exterior of the frame is cracked and the wood underneath is rotten. My thought was to remove all of the bad wood, install new wood and reglass. Anyone know a better or at least the correct way to do this? Thanks.

Hello Dan,

I'm sure you will got a lot of good advice. I had a 34 SC that I replaced the windows with fixed frames from a company in Florida. Not cheap but definately worth the money. I lost the ability to open them though. I too had replace all of the interior wood around the windows.

Jimmy Watts on this forum does some excellent work with Hatt windows. I've only seen pictures, but his work looks great.

You may want to do a search on "windows" and I'm sure his info will come up.

Good Luck!

Dan
