You know how "Nothing is ever simple" applies to fixing anything on a boat?

Well I'm sure you others knew this but I didn't... replacing the window gaskets is really simple. One of my 2 forward stateroom Fuller Brush windows could drip a little if we got into big seas that crash into the bow of the boat, so I ordered new gaskets from SAMs for them. To my surprise, they're just round black rubber hose type gaskets that self seal into a channel in the window from the pressure of the window clamps, so you just pull the old ones out and stuff the new ones back in. No old sealant, no cleaning out gunk. One window takes one minute and seals perfectly. Now I'm wondering how many of the others I should do, even though they don't leak.

I had one leaker 3.5 years ago and changed them all. cheap easy insurance!

I just did mine too. A few were leaking - got gaskets for all of them. They only take a minute to do.
