Three (3) questions left for now:

Trying to find replacement hardware for Aft Salon side doors. Missing one complete set. May have to replace both- any ideas or previous users done? Sams says not made anymore and try forum- they have been great both Mike and Steve.

Has anyone ever experienced current through the hull fittings? Today felt a shock- not a big one but constant current through Stbd zinc and top of Naaid stabilizer. Not on others?? Really strange and when I went back 2 hours later-- No shock or current.

Has anyone replaced the Bogen phone system and with what. Has been low priority-- No power, no noise. Does it have a switch or is just always on-- have not looked at any diag but any shortcuts would be appreciated and fun to use

Thanks for all the help over the past several months on my Hatteras refit project

if you are talking about your wing doors, the locks are not made anymore, you will have to replace with your lock and handle of your choice. the big problem is the original lock had a different set back (the measurement from the edge of the door to the hole where the knob goes through) you will either have to fill and re drill the hole, or make a plate for both sides of the door and then drill your holes

I found this place.they have a good selection of door hardware, also some other hard to find items THE BRASS WORKS INC. phone 386 943 8857

Sounds real nice Good Luck

But just so you know It never happened unless you post Pictures ;)

I need to replace a lock on one of the doors at the helm of my 53MY. The Brass works link has a cylinder lock that might work. Does any one have the experitise to be able to tell if it will work with the origianl hardware?

I called "The Brass Works" and discovered they are a wholesale outfit. They directed me to George Folley (sp) at Sefare marine in Florida. George took my information and in less than 30 minutes returned with a part for the lock cylinder replacement.
I would highly recomment Gearge for the aft door hardware research.

Bruce Morrison got me a new cylinder set for one of my helm doors as well. I'd guess he knows what to do about other hardware as well.

George actually went to Sam's to get the run down ofn the lock core. he said he works with them frequently. Very helpful individual.
To be fair to George I should have included his contact information:
