Removing Nautical Structures crane

We have a half-ton Nautical Structures crane on top of our 53ED and wish to remove it for eventual sale. The model we have is "flush" mounted on the deck, it does not have the pole style mount.

Any best practices on this? Assuming it's going to involve headliner removal to access some sort of backing plate.
