  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
43' DOUBLE CABIN (1970 - 1984)
Can anyone tell me how to remove this coupler from the engine.
I removed the 2 cotter pins (one shown in the photo) but the gold part can not be pulled out. There is a (locknut?) on the backside of it but attempts to wrench on it just rotates the engine.
Thanks for any suggestions.

The Glen drive adapters are a push-fit into the housing and retained by the cotter pins. The adapter should pull out when the pins are removed. Depending on how long it's been there...pulling it out could require some force... ;)

Some penetrating lube might be helpful. Mild heat on the AL housing would probably be better.
