Hi,
I would like to remove my teak rails to do a proper refurbishing. However they seem to be quite stuck in the end caps... Any ideas? Heat blower?

The end caps are full of 5200. The only way to get them out is heat.

OK, thanks!
Once it's out, what is the recommended way to clean out the end caps? Acetone or any other solvent? I'll of course try to mechanical removal with the help of heat first. I am not familiar with 5200, never seen it in Norway...

They don't need to be removed, but I find it is easier to remove them if there are in real bad shape. You don't have to work around all of the stantions that way.

They just need sanding, but as it is currently being zero degrees Fahrenheit outside, working ON the boat is not my preference

I have been to your the Southern part of your country. The only time I would consider doing this job is the last week of July, or the first week of August. :p Just kidding, I've experienced some beautiful fall and spring weather.
