I have been working on the woodwork in my 86 48 Viking, there is ALOT of wood. I have been following instructions that I have gotten from this site. I have applied three coats of satin poly, using fine 3M pads between coats. After the final coat and scuff I waxed with Trewax paste wax, the results are amazing! The stuff looks great. The problem is that I get some wax buildup after I buff in some of the grain. I used a tooth brush to get the stuff out a day or two later. It is well worth the work. My question is, does anyone know of a better wax to use? I used the Trewax because it was all I had at the time but looked so good I still used it.... Thanks

What's the purpose of waxing over polyurethane??
