Today I was doing my weekly and monthly check on the boat and found two problems...
1. my aft bilge pump was not working...
2. my mid bilge float switch was not working...
In the 12 yrs we've owned the boat... have never had a problem with either....
No idea why the pump stopped.... Have never had it go off, only time it's run is on my monthly tests with it....... it was installed before I bought the boat so just replaced it anyway...
Found a "high open" in the wiring to the float switch.... I was in that area about 5 days ago so will accept the blame for that......
But just another reason to do mundane/boring testing on your boat....
I have weekly and monthly routines I do on the boat...used to have ones I only did every 3-4 months, but it only adds an extra10- 15 mins to my monthly ones so "what the heck"...
And the truth is, most of the "monthly" ones I now do weekly anyway
