While searching around for the best price on raymarine's SR50 siruis weather receiver, just for sh!ts and giggles I started looking at auto-pilots on raymarines's website. If I'm not mistaken it looks like the minimum price for a raymarine autopilot is $2500!

Is that what those of you with auto-pilots have spent?

Also, is anyone running siruis weather (either E or C series). If so any likes/dislikes?

The SR50 is down to $250 for the receiver. The monthly service is $29.95 plus an extra $6.95 if you want music. I don't know why, but the C series will play music over the display while the E series will not.

Check out "TheGPSStore" online. I'm in process of weighing a complete electrical suite refit - either Garmin or Raymarine. Been pricing things out as well. I have to think that with the Miami Show - now is the time...

Interesting tidbit about the Ray. I believe the autopilot is able to run the course in reverse. Not the reverse course but with engines in reverse.

Anyone using Sirius weather for their Raymaine products? I have a C120 and C70. The black box/antenna (SR50) is down to $250. I'm a little concerned with Sirius-XM trading at $.12 per share that its going to be around for very long.

I have used XM weather in the past. Great tool for hardcore fishing and crusing. The issue is, if you do not use the boat often, meaning a couple times a week or extended periods, you can get the info off the internet before you leave. If you do not leave cell phone coverage range it is a complete waste. I have Sirius radio in the CC which is nice when you are 50 miles out. You can add it for short periods if you are only going to need it for a month or 2 here and there...

Thanks for the info!
