I’ve got a Norpro 18kw (not sure of the year) with an Isuzu 3LD1 engine and am looking to replace the Raw Water Impeller. Would any of you have the part number and a source? I can’t seem to locate either.

Thanks in advance. :)

If the impellor has a number on it - they usually do - you can internet search using impellor + [part number] and probably find it with no trouble. I've found all my impellors that way and ordered them from whomever.

I missed that post...

have you called Nopro, they've been pretty helpful in the past. I get parts for mine (a 3 year old 18KW with Isuzu) from South Fl. DDA in Ft Lauderdale... Norpro will be able to tell you who carries parts in your area.

Speaking of Norpro, I had a problem with the fuel pump last week after changing the racor. it simply would not reprime.. .not sure why. Since i was anchored and had to recharge the batteries, I inserted a spare Walbro between at the racor outlet to reprime the system. after the walbro ran for a few minutes, I removed it but still got no flow out of the genset fuel pump. I reinstalled the walbro and and the genset fired right up. the next day, i tried running the genset on its own pump and it run fine, pulling fuel thru the Walbro which wasn't running. odd... bottom line, no boat should be without a walbro on board, it's great to refill and reprime the DDs and also to reprime and as a back up on the genset!

I have two Walbros - permanently mounted after the filters on Gig.

Its the cat's azz. Change filters, turn on the Walbro and reprime. Bingo - instant start.

Wanna polish fuel? No problem, turn a valve, turn on Walbro.

Wanna TRANSFER fuel? Go set manifold, turn on Walbro (make sure the destination tank has enough room in it first!)

Its EASILY one of the best changes I've made to the boat.

Depco Pump is where I ordered mine.

Thanks to all.
Pascal, Nope, I hadn’t thought of that. Do you have a number for me?

I had a similar (fuel) problem with my Norpro. After changing the Racor filter, she ran fine but after sitting for a while air would leak into the Racor. Changing that little o-ring for the T-handle fixed it. It got squished when I put it back together.

Do you have a monitoring set up for yours, such as oil pressure and temp alarms with auto shutdown? I’d like to get the details if you do as mine has zilch.

i don't have the number handy... check their website... 4norpro.com

I have the remote panel (oil, temp, volt, hour meter and key) but the auto shut down is built in the genset... there is a timer (little black box near the oil filter) which triggers the oil pressure safety switch... the water temp switch is wired directly to the fuel solenoid circuit.

they shoudl be able to get you a wiring diagram... I'd fax you mine but I have a 4LCI engine. I had bought the parts book and service manual from their distributor...
