Does anyone know where I can find a water pump impeller for my Atlantes A-5 toilet? The Raritan model number is AM220W. It was discontinued in 2002. Raritan does not have anymore. I have checked all over the place online (ebay, defender, google searches, etc. etc.). No luck. Maybe someone knows of a marine salvage yard where one might be hanging around.

The pump is an internal pump. I can switch out to an external diaphram pump (which oh by the way is what Raritan is recommending), but they cost around $300. Really galls me that a perfectly good pump and toilet should be rendered useless because Raritan failed to inventory a sufficient number of consumable items, like the impeller, for out of style and no longer manufactured models.

This policy and way of doing business is very typical of Raritan. I wish the big yacht companies would assert some leverage on them.

When the pump failed on one of mine, i converted it to fresh water. The hookup was simple and the solenoid was a lot cheaper than a new pump.

Thanks for your reply. Can you give more specifics? Can you explain what you mean by converting to fresh water? Do you mean you pull water from your fresh water tank instead of through the thru-hull?

Yes. My Atlantes are all fresh water flush. It is simply a solenoid valve and a vacuum break installed in-line to your fresh water system.

I have an Atlantes toilet and recently changed to the external diaphragm pump thinking it might be quieter than the internal one that was no longer available, It's certainly not. Most similar fresh water pumps are quieter and cost less and would appear to be suitable although as already mentioned I now have a 12v solenoid and siphon breaker waiting to be installed.
