OK I may lower the height of my mast to fit undercover. So, that may limit room on the mast for the radar reflector. What are thoughts on effectiveness of this type reflector on a 48 LRC?

I was attempting to add a picture but couldn't make it work. There is a picture of the mast and reflector in my last post titled "mast height and KVH"

I'd get rid of the reflector. I doubt its doing much. That 48LRC is a pretty good reflector on its own.

I usually only see reflectors on sailboats.

Thank you. If I cut some height out of the mast it won't really fit. I was thinking it was probably unnecessary as well but just thought I'd check to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Thanks

I bought two of the metal Davis radar reflectors, large size, about 18 in. Glassed them high up under my flybridge, just below the windshield bolts at each side where the space was wasted anyway. Raincatcher position, but each slightly pointing differently in each axis. No windage, never gets in the way. I'm not really sure it makes any difference, but can't hurt. So far, so good!
