Bought it for my previous Hatteras when the backup radar had an intermittent problem that then promptly went away. That would be in 2003 or 2004. I liked this model because of it's clear raster scan image after using it on a buddy's boat and kept it in a spare bedroom closet waiting for my backup radar to fail. It never did.
