Both of my RACOR filter gages are in poor condition, bent needles and fogged lenses..they are 1/4 npt. . I found two identical back mount replacement gages that are 1/8 NPT and 1/3 the price ($45 vs $150) of the 1/4" NPT version .
Normally I don't like adding a fitting as it's one more potential leak but with a 1/8-1/4 brass bushing I can do the job for $200 less.
Am I missing something here...even if the 1/8 NPT gage has a smaller orifice in it ,and I'm not sure it does, it should not effect the operation or reading.... ?
