And now for something completely insane, the Isle Of Man TT races.
This is long running race, held for close to 100 years now.
I was asked to ride this event back in the early eighties, my sponsor hired a British team that had an injured rider, so off I went. I practiced (learned) the course on a street bike, it was crazy dangerous, and the team was sub par (no wonder their rider was hurt, the bike was
crap and they resisted setup changes) At the time I was a top tier rider, any changes I desire happen instantly, without argument, these clowns didn't get it.
I called my team manager and told him what as going on, I was the points leader for a national championship back home and the team manager said "screw that, jump on a plane, I don't want you hurt" so I didn't race.
The course is 37-3/4 miles around, damp in many places under the trees and much of it is 200+ mph.
