Nice looking boat but way overpriced. Need to cut that price in half if they really want to sell it
Tim you know it's not about how much was spent. Taking a 100K boat and putting another 300K in it won't give you a 400K boat it gives you an exceptional 125-150K boat. That's the harsh reality. You may get lucky and find someone willing to pay the premium but the chances are slim to none. My boat has had a ton of custom work done to the interior and lots of other goodies like new davit, TNT lift etc. I know I couldn't replace it for what it would sell for.Thats about what HATTABOY sold for about 3 years ago about the same boat...I belive it is in Nantucket Or Marthas Vineyard now so i hear. I saw this boat in Marlin Magazine and went to the sight. This boat may have more done to it than HATTABOY.
LETS SEE

I can't inagine anyone paying 300K for a 25 year old 45C. You can buy a late '90s 50C w3406 Cats for not too much more.!00% correct you missed my point if you want a qsm 45 you are going to pay about 300. Seems all the good ones are goung for about that, You certainly can not bild one for that
Hey guys
thanks for your comments on my 45 hatteras fog cutter. the boat is awesome and i love it very much but i am ready to move up to a larger boat with a 3rd stateroom and galley up is my main requirement. so the new boat could be anything from a late model 50 to 54 hatteras sportfish or a 52 viking 2002 to 2004.
i have to sell my boat first so your comments were all well taken and i understand the main stubling point in any sale is the price. i think that if a knowledgeable boater looks at the fog cutter they will realize the value for the price. you will be hard pressed to find equal value on the market today.
i have just added granite counter tops and and all new delta faucets to the galley and both bathrooms. the boat is in great shape and is ready to do what ever the new owns may what to with this boat with out spending a dime other than the agreed purchase price.
no extra money is needed. i have many friends who buy boats and brag that they got a supper deal and stoled the boat only to realize that they had to spend 100k or more after they bought the so called great deal.. anyway thanks for the comments if she does not sell in the next couple of months i will list the boat with a broker. so who do you guys recommend for a good hatteras market area to handle the sale?
thanks chris
