Propshaft Rope Cutters

I'm thinking about putting spurs or other rope cutters on my shafts this season. Any thoughts pro or con re the various brands and styles?

No experience but while recently reading up on cutlass bearings saw a caution on obstructing water flow by Rope Cutters through the bearings, which I have no doubt you're already aware. I write only to learn more. Craig
