  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
72' MOTOR YACHT (1984 - 1991)
I have a 1979 Hatteras was 58' extended to 72. I need to be able to answer these questions to see if the new props should be tweaked for cruising. I'm not sure how to answer these? The Detroits are 892/T Anyone know how I can find out these answers? Time is important here if you can help, Thanks. This is what the prop shop sent me below.

Hi Capt. I could do a calculation to determine what is the best size for your application. I would need some info
1- rated RPM of the motor @ WOT
2- rated HP @ WOT
3- gear reduction in transmission. Then we can compare the 2 sets of props and see what set is the best.

All I know is:
Under normal conditions would be 1800 to 2300.
Because of the tweaked props I don't go above 1600 rpm and really should no go above 1300 is best right now until I change the props.
750hp is what the book says?
Gear reduction?
