  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
Just saw a video where the guy had a propane injection system that sprayed propane into the blower on a 6-71 it was in a bus and when he needed extra power to climb a hill he hit a switch in the cab that sprayed in some propane that gave him a boost.looks like a way to eek out a bit more horsepower for the sport fisher crowd. Wouldn't be me..... There's ALWAYS a price to pay in longevity.

Propane spraying in a boat engine room. Yah, that sounds like a good idea :)

i'm gonna run out and buy a kit to do this to my deeres

Not sure I understand why this would work. (besides being dangerous) Propane has far less energy locked in it than does diesel. Complex hydrocarbons like diesel and bunker release a lot more energy as heat when they are burned.

Still, I'll think about this the next time I have to climb a hill with my boat.

Yeah. Even though I knew that was a model, it still gave me the huge creeps.

It's a common thing on land. Improves combustion, they say.

The expanding propane also cools the incoming charge. Denser fuel/air mix equals more power.

Your pork will be jealous.

I thought I double posted but realized deer do not talk to each oHer so I made each a post.
