  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
43' MOTOR YACHT (1984 - 1987)
I’ve got a pair of damaged 24x22x4 props that will cost about $1600 to repair. I can buy a pair of good 24x23 props for $900. Wondering if that pitch difference is a big deal?

Are the new props also 4 blade?

What boat is it going on? Planing hull? Semi-displacment? Full Displacement?

These would all be factors to consider as well.

Prop shop should be able to reduce the pitch for a lot less.if the props are badly damaged they’re never really right again and are weakened when they straighten them.

They’re from my 1985 43MY. They are also 4 blade.

Our 1980 43DCFB with DD671TI and Capital Gears 1.5/1.0 has 24/23 4 blade screws on it
