How does one prime a Detroit 8V71 engine with a priming pump?
 
Only time I have ever used the priming pump is when I change the RACOR filters.
 
How do you hook the pump in the fuel system up?
 
It depends on the pump and it is set up. Usually the pump is installed in parallel with a couple of tees and a valve to divert fuel to the pump.
