  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
So it seems I have a couple of pressure water problems that may or may not be related.

1. When connected to dockside water, only the starbaord side seems to work. If the hose is connected to the port side I get only a trickle out of any faucts.

2. Whenever hooked to city/dock water, I get a slow tickle out of the water tank vent, as if it's being very slowly overfilled.

Any thoughts? I'm totally unfamilar with how this all works, none of my other boats have ever had dockdie water connections. On the other baots, it was fill the tank and turn on the pressure water pump. ???

there are check valves between the two dockside inlets. it sounds like the check valve is stuck and will not let water through. look in the stbd engine room and you should see the check valves. as far as water coming out of your tank there is also a check valve between the water pump and the dockside inlets. if this fails open then water and be push back through the pump and into the tank filling the tank and over flowing it out the vent.
