  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
42' LRC - Mark II (1980 - 1985)
During launch yesterday, I powerd up the AC system, stepped through each of the cb's power up air conditionioning, appliances etc, then the systems monitoring ac alarm went off. Flybridge alarms (engine fire, oil temp and pressure) alarms also going off.

Questions:

1. How do I turn off the bloody alarms
2. What power should I be reading on the ac pannel ( I am seeing 240v on the meter and)
3. Is there a protection breaker between incoming power and distributed power.

Thanks in advance

What model Hat?

Does your AC panel have a "monitor AC" switch? If so, you may be able to turn it off to stop the alarms.

You say the meter shows 220V, do you have AC power to the devices on board or is everything dead?

Can you send a picture of the AC panel?

1st silence the alarms with the button on the panel. False alarms can be caused by low battery voltage.

And, as stated above, you can disable the AC power fail alarms with switches at the bottom of each ships service selector panel.
