I am upgrading my audio system and need advise on how much power draw requires an independent battery. I have a 55 Hatteras that runs on a 32v system but I have a separate 12v bank to run electronics on the bridge. It is an 8d CCA 1400, CA 1725 with a pro mariner charger. I also run a 20kw generator that provides power to the charger. Presently the 12v bank is only responsible for powering (2) 7215 garmin, GHC10 AP (periodically), GMR radar, ICOM VHF. The system will be a JL 800/8 for highs/mids and a 1000/1 for the subs. 1. will my charging system support the power needed by the amps?2. should I run my 1/0 power cable directly from the battery or could I pull power from the 12v breaker panel on the bridge?
