Good day all,
I accidentally started my 8-92s after inadvertantly shutting the fuel supply with my butt while working on something else. Idled for a bit, then stopped, not to start again!
I have run the priming pump for what seems like an eternity, but I'm not convinced its moving any fuel. It could simply be a bad impeller on the pump, but I'd love some advice, before I start tearing into the wrong job. Engine fired instantly before this.
Thanks
Vince

I have different engines, but when I have to prime with the hand pump. It will only flow if I crack the lid loose on the Racor. Worth a try.

You already know there is air from the shutoff forward. I would fill the racor along with the primary and crank the engine. Not more that 20 seconds at a time. Let the starter cool between attempts. Had this happen before, and that is what I did.

Ditto, a squirt of starting fluid would also be a good idea to reduce cranking time. A 2 second squirt is all you need. Don't over do it with the starting fluid.
