  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
37' CONVERTIBLE (1977 - 1982)
On my 1980 Hatteras 37 Convertible I have four dental portholes which were (I believe originally) fitted with screens. They were made from two layers of thin plastic frames (matching colour of the porthole frame) sandwiching a single layer of plastic mesh/screen. As can be seen on the attached photos the frames have all cracked in the middle where they needed bending slightly to fit them into slots in the porthole frame.

Does anyone know where I can buy replacements, or how (from which material) to make new frames? Sandwiching layer of the mesh/screen would be easy.

Sam’s is the only distributor of the Fuller brush port holes in the screens. Hopefully they have them in stock for you. If not I might make a suggestion, take what you have to tap plastic and have new frames cut and sandwich in a new screen.

Here's an alternative that I looked at - While I was pondering, the Admiral went to JoAnn Fabrics and bought a roll of mosquito netting and made home-made versions.
