On Saturday, I was using my Glendenning synch for the first time in a while. When slowing to displacement speed, the port tach dropped to 0 and I thought I lost the engine. Upon a quick search, I realized the engine was still on, but all of the tachs (3) were not working. Can anyone give me an idea of what to look for so I can correct this. Is this a problem with the Glendenning or with the cable itself?

Sounds like the stub cable off the hydraulic pump let go. It drives a gear that runs a mechanical cable AND a signal generator for the elctric units. ws

So far, Ive broken the stub, the main and one of the drive gears. I can run EITHER the electric or cable tach, but not both. You'll need to pull the pump off and apart to get the culprit out.
The back to back helix pinion gear is worn out and binds. See top of gear in pics. ws
