The aft deck windows on BUFFALO GAL are hard plastic like EZ2C or polycarbonate. The frames are regular soft vinyl similar to what would be used on eisenglass windows, with zippers that allow the windows to be lifted up and attached to the underside of the hardtop. However, since the hard plastic can't be sewn, the windows are glued into the frames. The glue has failed on one side of one window.

I'm hoping one of the boat canvas/window experts on this site will know what cleaners would be safe to remove the old adhesive from the window and which adhesive would be correct to re-attach the window to the frame. I tried using super stick double sided tape, but that wouldn't hold the weight of the window once they were re-hung.

Thanks.

Look for an adhesive made by Loctite called (vinyl, fabric and plastic). It is a flexible adhesive that works very well. I made all my acrylic panels on my boat using hot glue and solvent and nothing worked. The Loctite product has held up very well. It is available at Lowes paint dept. Ron

Thanks, Ron. How long have your windows been in place?

About 5 years.
