The windshield on my 43 Open is polarized. I always wear polarized sunglasses on the water. Whenever I look through the windshield, especially when the sun is high in the sky, my vision is greatly obscured by the spotted image (polarizing on polarizing). Short of replacing the glass or not wearing polarized glasses only when running the boat and only when looking through the forward windshield, is there anything I can do to eliminate this issue? It sounds kind of trivial but it really is not.

Either sell the boat or get new glasses.

Put the glasses on a lanyard and take them off when at that helm, dangling around your neck. If they are prescription, have your clear glasses also on a lanyard and switch between the two. I often do this on bright days, it makes going below and doing ER checks etc easier.

Is there any coating or film I can apply to the glass to neutralize the polarization?

Have you tried different Sunglasses? I had the same issue with one of my cars. Some sunglasses were worse than others. My Maui Jim's seemed to be the best. I'm not sure it's the polarized glass you're seeing. I think it has something to do with the window tint. You might want to try putting a film tint on a piece of the windscreen as a test. Might help get rid of those blotchy spots.

Thanks. I will give it a try.

Your windshield glass is tempered. The tempering process imparts stresses in the glass as it cools and it looks like it is spot polarized.

It sure does look that way and significantly obscures my vision when the sun is high in the sky.

I normally just look out thru the center window which I have opened
