Pilothouse helm/bench seat

I would like to have the helm seat recovered. Has anyone done this? How can the units cushions be removed. It is a 1987 63 ft Hatteras Motoryacht. Same as a 58--56 and others.

On my 63' 1987 motoryacht I am able to gently pull the entire bench seating area out to have the seats recovered. I have't done it yet as the bench seat is still in the same white Hatteras leather but it's not hard to pull out.
