When I was on vacation I had to clean the AC strainer and the generator strainer. Believe it or not both of them had studs that were a little tight and both broke off. So I took some heavy duty tie wraps and tie wrapped them shut. It worked.
After I got back I purchased new studs $17.00 ea replaced them and while I was cleaning one of the clear cylinders it broke apart in my hands. Glad that didn't happen in the Bahamas. So I got a new one. It looked so nice that I thought I would do my other perko 493 strainer. Which I did and was surprised to find that one had a bunch of serious crackes in it. Both of these could of easily failed at anytime.
So I would check those perko strainers. None of the long rods were very tight when I removed the cylinder.
