Painting outside window frame

Hello Every One, I would like to paint my window frames on the outside and was wondering if those who have done it and could advise what paint they used as well as surface prep. Also I was thinking of rolling the paint verses brushing, any help would be greatly appreciated.

If they are anodized aluminum, you'll need to use some kind of primer to etch the surface.

I did mine on the 36C, but I sandblasted first to remove the anodizing.

I finished them with Imron to match the boat.
