Our Hatteras T-Shirts

For some time, we have worn and enjoyed the "vintage T-shirts" from Sams "Hatteras Apparel" sporting a very nice, but rather generic 43DC image on the back of the shirt.

We are now going beyond that. Working with Doug Langley, I sent him a photo of Lilly Marie and he made a very impressive and amazingly detailed drawing of our boat to be printed on a batch of custom t-shirts.

They are nice indeed. I sent Doug a picture of Chateau de Mer and he turned it into a great T shirt.... in color to boot. Did the same for my son's 46 Silverton MY (which is still for sale if any interest).

The single color drawing has a one time cost of $200. No extra charge if you simply use your photo image. The shirts, printed are around $10, depending on sleeve length and pocket. I am not aware of a minimum. I first talked about 24, but will probably order twice that. We have 5 children with our new SIL and a several friends who would like a shirt.

I began the artwork process with Doug about 10 days ago. He offered to have it completed by Christmas, but I told him to take his time. I won't need the shirts til Spring. When I receive the art, I will post it here.

Consistent with Doug's assurances, I received our T-shirts in time for Christmas and the family members and friends who got them were very pleased. I am too. Doug's folks printed not only short sleeve T's but also long sleeve and sweat shirts, and did very well with all of them. Doug's group was very helpful and easy to work with.

I'm in the business of doing a lot of screening and embroidery on a corporate level (banks, insurance companies, sports teams, etc.). I can say without a doubt that what Deep River and Doug are doing is a great value and service. Not many companies around that offer this, especially at these prices.

I've even gone to them for stock purchases because it's cheaper than going thru the headaches of doing it internally to try and save a couple of bucks. As a fellow HOF'er, I'd like to say "Thank You!".

I agree. Given the quality of what I have seen so far, their custom art charge is a huge bargain.
