HI, I am not changing the base. I had new helm seats made that I have remounted on the original FG box.

New plan: These are gonna be expensive to ship due to weight and size. So - they're free to a good home. But the new owner must pick them up, arrange pick up, or arrange packing and shipping. I will drop them off to the nearest (to me) UPS store in Chester, MD. Their phone # is 410-604-2380. Call them and make a plan. Time is of the essence or they're in the dumpster.

Hey Eric, I received the chairs yesterday, hard to believe they are 47 years old! They are certainly in better shape than my 37 year old Pompanette chairs. You wouldn't think plywood, saran wrapped foam, stainless steel staples, and vinyl could hold up so well. I'm going to see if I can get the arm rests off my old ones and put on these, either way - these are going to replace what I have now.

It was very gracious of you to give these to me for free, even after I agreed to $100. I look forward to doing you a solid in the future.

By the way, what size T-shirt are you?

I screwed up on the shipping! The box with the pedestals came back to me the next day. It was a re-used box and an old label on the bottom got past me. It went right back out with the UPS guy so it should be along soon. Glad you're happy with the chairs. It was going to be painful to just toss them. I'm a XXXL shirt guy.
